Well, today's been a sort of crummy day. In reality it's been fine there's just been this cloud of funkitude hanging over me. Really bums me out. But ANYWAY. Inspiration for today, hmm....
  As cheesy as it is today I'm going with nature. Now I'm not just talking your usual flowers and such {although I do love a good flower}. I have a particular love for succulents. A few reasons why:
A-They are ridiculously hard to kill.
B-They are ridiculously easy to care for.
C-They don't pollinate and therefore my allergies aren't trying to kill me.
D- They're very good houseplants without feeling like houseplants
E-THEYRE PRETTY.

  Adorable, no? They're perfect for tiny planters, hanging planters, funky planters, really anything. {Yes I realize there are some cacti in there. While I have none yet I do aspire to get some}.

Films
Oh my I love films. There are some films that I have seen that, to be honest, just speak to my soul. Sounds ridiculously cheesy, I'm aware. But there are some things that make me want to be creative and get me all sorts of excited!

For instance, this new The Little Prince trailer. You can find it here. I am SO STINKING EXCITED. I get the fact that it may be a children's movie. This does absolutely nothing to deter my excitement. A lot of people have heard or red the story of The Little Prince. From what I know it's a pretty common occurrence in most high school french rooms. If not, it's the story of a little prince who lived on a planet scarcely bigger than himself, and the pilot who finds him in the desert and sits quietly to learn his story. A very whimsical and wonderful tail. Perfect for crazy minds like mine who simply can't stand normality. The movie's take on this classic story seems to be that there is a little girl leading an exceedingly normal life. She then meets her eccentric old neighbor who tells her the story from when he was a pilot of when he met the little prince. Book lovers all over seem to be going back and forth on wether this will be good or not. Personally, I think it's a wonderful adaptation. Keeping true to the story and themes from the book, but giving the production team a whole other story to get to create for the first time and mix in with such a well known tale.

Another film I'm constantly obsessed with is Amelie.

  So, something that inspires me...hm....other artists probably. I have a real addiction to watching artist videos. Doesn't matter if it's just watching them do their process or if it's an interview, I LOVE IT. Making art is an extremely personal process. So when you can watch someone go about this process and see how they do things and how they cope with things, it's just incredible to me. Very few people have ever seen me at my desk or in my studio fully in tune to creating, and probably not many more will. I get so zoned into my art that it's difficult for me to talk to anyone or even look at them without feeling weird cause I'm so in my process.

One place I love to find artist videos is on Vimeo. {no this isn't a sponsored post or anything, I just love this site}. To me it's a sort of artists youtube. And while you can find plenty of artist videos on youtube, this site is a bit more polished most of the time. You can search any art form and find cool videos to go with it or just browse all the cool videos they have.

So go! Get into other artist's heads and see what's going on. You might just find something that will help you create even greater things.
