Creating in Small Spaces

I think as artists we all dream of some huge airy space to create in. White walls, superb organization, and HUMONGOUS windows all around. However, this dream can't always be realized. For instance, my son and I are currently living with my parents. While this makes it way easier on me to finish college and get my degree, it also limits our space. While we are each blessed with our own room, of course we'd enjoy having an entire house to play in. Because of the fact that we each have a room, my room doubles as my studio. Storing all of my supplies and finding places to work on things can get a little tricky. Top that off with the fact that 8 out of 10 times my son likes to come in my room with his toys to play so he's closer to me and you get a sort of crowded space.

I'm currently working on making my bedroom the perfect space for my son and I to work together. One of my favorite things is when he sees me creating and then immediately starts pulling out his sketchbook and drawing with me.

As I fix up the space I'll post updates on here. So far it's a light purple room with art supplies everywhere. Hopefully I get a little bit more organized. :)
