Well friends, it's 1 AM where I am. Should I be up? Heck NO! But every once in a while I get a creative frenzy. I'm not sure if this is something that happens to every artist or if I'm just bonkers. I was laying up in bed. Quite content. Playing around on my computer (Pinterest and the like) with my lil guy passed out next to me when all of a sudden I got the itch. The itch that can only be cured by staying up all hours and doing SOMETHING. I have been working on embroidering a t-shirt of mine and it's kinda been at a standstill. So I grabbed my computer, headed downstairs, and got to work. I finished a great majority of the t-shirt before I got disastrously tired. I also watched a few ted talks on creativity (man they are good. I pinned a few to my artist videos board on Pinterest if you wanna check um out here).
  Now if I don't go crash I am going to fall asleep with my sketchbook and embroidery needles. I'll give you guys some more info on my crazy frenzy's in the morning. Tata!

  I know, I know, I'm dreadful at this blogging thing. But I actually have been working my tail end off :). If you guys ever check my Instagram or Facebook  you might see some of the stuff I've been up to. But just in case...



  So this is the progression of a piece I made for the Together We Can charity auction in Wamego KS. I had a piece I was going to finish and give, but then the idea for a wreath popped up and I decided to go for it! THANK GOD I finished it in time for the auction. I painted a white canvas in acrylic paint and then went over it with some watercolor drips. Each of those lovely flowers was painted with watercolors and then cut out and glued down onto the canvas. With those little flowers I cut out each one individually, so needless to say it took quite a while. But I really love how it turned out :)
  So yeah that's what I've had going on. I'm thinking of making a few more flower wreaths. Any thoughts?
