I was back in the oil painting studio actually painting for the first time in quite some time yesterday and I think I began quite an exciting journey! I've been a bit obsessed with organs in general over this summer and decided I was going to try and paint them once I got back in school. Well, there is a heart! You guys have no clue how excited I am about this. I literally did a happy dance when it got to this point cause I was so jazzed about it. The background's gotten a bit screwy since this point, but this is my favorite state of it, and I think I'km going to try and do some messy abstracted backgrounds on another few. For some reason the human heart is so incredibly gorgeous to me. I'm not sure if it's the fact that it's something we literally NEED to survive, or that it's all gory and bloody and gorgeous. Either way, I'm super exited to continue this series and just kind of explore what can happen with it.
