As a learning artist I like to look at other artists work and get inspired by what they do. I've noticed a lot that people tend to post many photos of their sketchbook or art journal on their websites or blogs. I would do this, but I fear it would scare everyone lol. My sketchbook is the place where I prepare images to be done on a greater scale. I will have pieces of an image that I work on in my sketchbook to get how I like and then I put them in the image. This can make my sketchbook a largely confusing place. I have crazy things, from monsters, to flowers, to written ideas for pieces. I've always been very private with my sketchbook. There are many projects that never left it's pages for fear that they wouldn't turn out or would be looked down upon. I think that that's one of the things I need to get over, one of the things a lot of young artists need to get over. Our work is good. As long as we like it it doesn't matter what other people think. Plus, there's bound to be at least one other person on this planet who enjoys your work. So put it out there! I am going to soon here! It's scary as all get out, but it's wonderful as well.
