I found this quote on pinterest months ago and it really resonated with me. There are so many of us creative types out there who wonder what classifies us as a true artist. Is is selling a print? Having a show in a gallery? It certainly can't be enjoying what we create and creating fantastic things can it?

  It is my belief that every artist has this self doubt. They know that they can create things and they know that they love to do it, but they don't know if they are truly an artist. Well, I'm here to tell you that you are. We all are. Wether you like making paper mache poodles, graffiti, or are a performance artist. You ARE and artist.

  The dictionary has many different definitions for an artist. From: "a person who produces paintings or drawings as a profession or hobby." to "a person skilled at a particular task or occupation." I don't think the dictionary does it justice.

  I think that an artist is anyone who creates. Wether it be drawings, paintings, sculptures, websites, movements with your body, anything you create can be art and you are the artist who brought it into this world.

  Being an artist isn't something anyone can define you as, it is something you must define yourself as.
